Higgins is hard on paintbrushes and paint. He loves to stick the paintbrush from one paint color into another without cleaning the brush off. We have lots of gross brown colored paints that were at one point lovely reds, blues, or even greens. He isn't into detailed painting yet, mostly abstract type of work, so we don't need really nice paintbrushes. I found the perfect solution: Q-tips! I can use little bottles of paint or small plastic cups to hold the paint and place a Q-tip in each container. It helps keep the paint from getting contaminated with the other colors and he likes having a new way to paint. So far, it seems to be helping!
You will need:
- Q-tips
- Craft paint
- Paper
Directions:
1. Place one Q-tip by (or in) each paint color.
2. Paint and enjoy!
