We are big peanut butter fans in our house. When I was growing up, one of my favorite things for breakfast was peanut butter toast with a heart. I make it for my boys now and they love it too. They also love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, while hubby loves to eat it on celery and I have been known to eat just a spoonful of peanut butter.
I love making new snacks, treats, and baked goods. I wanted to try out a new recipe for a chocolate cake and was trying to come up with a nice frosting to go with it. What goes the best with chocolate?....peanut butter! I came up with a yummy Peanut Butter Buttercream icing that went really well with the chocolate cake. The kids have already asked me to make more cupcakes.
