Thursday nights are my night. Hubby watches the boys when he gets home from work for a couple hours so I can have some "me time". I love sitting at the book store and drinking a coffee, listening to music without having to worry about someone repeating the lyrics, and either working on a blog or reading a book. The boys also love it when I go out. Why? Because my husband loves to create fun desserts for the boys. It's their night together and he always tries to out-do himself. The insanity, I mean complexity, levels of the desserts vary. This one is pretty simple to make, but still has a big wow factor for the kids.
You will need:
- Ice cream
- Round ice cream sandwiches
- Chocolate sauce
- Cherries
- Whipped cream
- Round cookie cutter or sharp knife
Directions:
1. Using the cookie cutter or knife, cut out the center of the ice cream sandwich. This will form the bowl.
2. Scoop out one scoop of ice cream and place in the middle of the ice cream sandwich. We eat the center piece or use it for another dessert.
3. Drizzle chocolate sauce/syrup over the dessert.
4. Top with whipped cream and a cherry.
5. Enjoy!
