Today is Frankenstein Friday! In honor of this holiday, we made Frankenstein Snack Cups! These are easy to make fun snacks and are great for at home, a Halloween party, or a school snack. I made 19 of these for Higgins school snack and they took me about 1 1/2 hours (making the filler mix, decorating cups, and filling cups).
To make these snacks you will need:
- Dark chocolate frosting
- Vanilla Frosting
- Green wafer/cake cones
- Round, brown candies (like M&M's)
- Snack mix for filler (such as pretzel sticks, Goldfish, peanuts, cheese crackers, small candies, raisins or dried cranberries)
- 2 Ziploc bags
- Toothpick
1. In 1 Ziploc bag, fill with chocolate icing. Squeeze out air and seal. Cut a small piece off the corner of the bag.
2. Fill the other bag with vanilla icing. Squeeze out air and seal. Cut a small piece off the corner of the bag.
3. On each cone, you will poke a small hole about 1 1/2 inches from the top of the cone on either side with the toothpick.
4. Cut a pretzel stick in half. Insert into hole in cone, but let about a 1/2 inch to protrude.
5. Use the chocolate icing to pipe hair along the top of the cone. Also pipe a scar and a mouth.
6. Use the vanilla icing to pipe on 2 small circles for the eyes and add the candies for pupils. Let dry.
7. Fill the cone with the snack mix. Let some of the pretzels stick out.
