Eerie Spiders and Ghosts

To make the eerie spiders and ghosts, you will need:

• Egg carton
• Black craft paint
• White craft paint
• Paint Brush
• Black pipe cleaners (or colors you prefer)
• Battery operated tea lights
• Tape, or Black Duct Tape, or Electrical Tape
• Hole punch
• Needle, optional

Spider Directions:

1.   Cut each individual egg holder out of the carton. Trim the carton so you are left with just the rounded portion.

2.   Paint egg holder black and let dry.

3.   Turn so the small end will be the head, and the open end will be the bottom.

4.   Use a hole punch and punch out the eyes.

5.   Next, poke 4 holes on each side to create holes for the legs. I used a thick needle to poke the holes.

6.   Cut the pipe cleaners in half. Insert into holes for legs. I bent the pipe cleaners over on the inside to help hold in place.

7.   Use tape or black tape to secure legs in the holes if needed.

8.   Bend pipe cleaners into leg shapes.

9.   Place tea light into bottom.

10. Use black tape to secure the light, but cut out a small piece of tape so you have access to the on/off switch.

Ghost Directions:

1.   Cut each individual egg holder out of the carton. For the ghost, leave on the "legs". 

2.   Paint egg holder white and let dry.

3.   Turn so the small end will be the head, and the open end will be the bottom.

4.   Use a hole punch and punch out the eyes.

5.   Place tea light into bottom.
