Easy Coleslaw Recipe
My parents make an awesome coleslaw. However, when I tried to get the recipe, it was measured in globs and handfuls. I think this recipe comes pretty close. For a 4th of July party, use red bell peppers!
Sarah's COLESLAW:
1 bag (14 ounce) coleslaw mix. (Coleslaw mix is green cabbage, some red cabbage, and carrots shredded.)
2 Tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar
2 Tablespoons Sugar or Sweetener
1/2 cup bell peppers, diced
1/3 cup onions, diced
3/4 cup mayo (Do not use Miracle Whip! It changes the whole taste of the coleslaw.)
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Store in refrigerator until ready to use. (My husband likes it best when it has sat for at least an hour so the flavors can blend together a little more). You can adjust the recipe to your own tastes. Tip: Be scarce on the vinegar until you know your preferences. It's hard to fix too much vinegar!
